Overview

This article contains a list of common merge fields which are useful when designing email templates.
When creating an email template within Influence you can simply type these merge fields directly into the template. When the email is produced the system will merge the correct information in place of the field that you have typed.

Example: To display the name of a candidate and your own name in an email template the merge fields would be displayed as below:

Dear [[ENID_FORENAME$]]

I am writing to introduce myself. My name is [[USR_USR_NAME$]] .....etc.

When designing an email template, the fields can usually be selected by expanding the relevant section of the Catalogue at the left-hand side, and then double-clicking on the field to insert it into the template

Date Formats

Word and Journal Template dates may now be formatted differently to dd/mm/yyyy by adding  _?? as a suffix to the field name within the [[ ]] where the ?? is a number from 1 to 18.

eg [[ENII_INT_DATE_6]] would display 15th August 2012

Formats are as follows:

 1)     DD/MM/YY  8)  Month DDth, YYYY15)   Year Number YY
 2)     DD/MM/YYYY  9)  MM/DD/YY16)   Year Number YYYY
 3)     DD-MMM-YY10)   MM/DD/YYYY  17)   Week No WW/YY
